Grown Up?

Another recent thingy. I noticed that I'm not a minor anymore =P

All this while, whenever I see youngsters on the street, secondary school students or high school students, I'd automatically see myself the same as them, as in age group.

Well, technically, I still belong to the 'young' group generally, but I'm almost at the end of the stage =P. I mean, we're at the stage where some of us are already working in the society, or even got married and have children.

The transition between 2 age groups could be unclear, but the actual difference in their lives can be quite different.

For example, I went to a salon yesterday to get my haircut. The guy asked me if I was a sophomore. I answered 'yes' naturally. But it left me thinking, 'Yeah...I'm not just a kid from middle school anymore =P. I'm stepping into adulthood...'

I guess I should start looking at people a little differently. =)
Not to say 摆架子, but I'm not exactly the same youngster I used to be.
A little more thinking of the consequences...
A little more thinking of my life...

But still the 'just do it!' principle! =D

Haircut

I went to Kuantan today, AGAIN =P

3rd consecutive week. Bought my first PINK T-SHIRT!! =D

Had a haircut, but I do not know how I look like coz I don't have a mirror with me.

The dude doing my hair looked quite cool =x.

At the mall where I hung out with my friends, there was this drawing competition for kiddos. Lil toddlers look so cute with their cute little movements =P.

Like the little boy I saw the other day, he was cycling a tricycle beside his mother. I had a sudden urge of doing something, which I don't quite know what it was. And I don't think you wanna imagine =P

Kids can be so cute~
But please think more than twice before you get 1 =P
And get it fast if you want =)

p/s: Now's the best age to get 1 (assuming that you're at my age =P)

Recently, I found that sighing actually has an effect of relieving your stress or whatever pressure you have. I guess there's a reason why it exists in the first place =P

Sigh...People are so hard to deal with =(

You can please one but you can't please all.
What you wanna do might not be what people want you to do.

I know life isn't a life if you're living as a loner forever, but sometimes it really makes me wanna do that...

To all that I've disappointed, I have nth to say except wishing the best to all of you. I can't give you anything more than that, I'm selfish =)

I can say sorry, but I may not really mean it. So I'll just keep it.

A meal bought with money, blood and sweat >:3

It's been a while. I fell down from a bicycle for the first time. No internal injuries, but the bruise is getting in my way T.T

My palms, right knee and right shoulder. It's gonna be a longggg week T.T

I DON'T WANNA PUT IT UNDER A RUNNING TAP!!!

The fried rice was very nice though, me and my roommate Jin Bao cycled to Gambang to have dinner. The trip was about 10-15 minutes on bicycle. Quite a dangerous trip coz there are big trucks using the road.

But the food was worth it =3

学海无涯 x The Sea of Learning is Borderless (Literally >.<)

Just a phrase that I came up with, and think of, from time to time.

'The more you learn, the more you don't know'

I'm pretty sure many of us can understand what this means, especially if you're reading this blog =)

Yes, it's true that we become more knowledgeable as we learn more about everything. But as you learn and see more, you'll find that there are even more that you haven't learn and see.

For me, I'm quite a pessimist =)
Sometimes it makes me feel that I'm so far away and so insignificant compared to whatever or whoever it is =P

But everything must have a start, so there's never really an impossible in this world. Before Wright, no human could imagine how they can fly across the sky. I guess we'll just have to think and think and think. If we're lucky, something might come up during the process of learning and thinking =P

Anyway, no matter what happens next, let's just take this first step kay? =) Nothing much will start when you're not moving.


We're all champions that won our first war, out of the xxx millions of fellow warriors. Yea, you know what I mean =P

仲間？敵？ x Comrade? Foe?

Living in a world like ours, you'll definitely wanna know every trick there is to survive longer and go further than others.

One of it is none other than knowing how to tell friends from foes.

I know the terms may be ambiguous especially when used on us humans, the simple yet complicated animal. You know what I mean.

But let's just put it this way:
A friend is one who do you more good than harm and one that you could place your trust on. A foe is of course, vice versa.

Notice how I said 'more good than harm'? Seriously, you can't expect a friend to be alllll goooooooddd with you 24/7. That would be a robotic slave or something. Even your family hurt you sometimes, not that it's a bad thing. Hey, this is life?

If someone really wants to hurt you or do you harm, do you think you can still be here? Some people may look mean, but being mean can mean being strict.

Or you'd rather be pampered everyday, growing up physically but still a baby mentally just because you have never been given a chance to learn.


Get this from me first-hand:
If the pain doesn't kill you, it is meant for you to grow stronger.
If you really don't like something, it won't hurt for you to voice your opinion.

Last and best one:
GROW UP! =P

Hate the state you're in? Change!
Can't change others? Change yourself!

楽しい？疲れた？ x Fun? Tired?

Both I guess =P

Went on a trip to Kuantan today ^^
Went by the bus provided by our university. Rm2.00

We started with 1 of our friends getting injured o.o
He sorta hurt his knee while getting off the bus, but he insisted that we continue the day after taking a short rest.

Then, I bought my bus ticket back to KL for CNY, on 12th of Feb =P. I hope that it'll be a nice and sweet CNY =) Rm21.80.

Next is filling out stomach =P, a nice bowl of Kelantan Laksa in Laksa Shack (East Coast Mall). It's been a while since I taste Kelantan Laksa, it's different from your normal Laksa in Penang or in KL. White fishy soup =D. Yeah, white and not spicy. It was a little different from what I had in Kelantan, but still very refreshing. Rm9.90, kinda expensive, but oh well =P.

Then I spent some time watching Avatar 3D with one of my friends, the other 3 went shopping.

The movie was awesome =). Maybe the 3D parts weren't that much, but it was still worth watching. Rm16.00 and Rm6.00 for large caramel popcorn.

After that we walked for a little before we have our lunch.
滑蛋河～ =P, Rm3.80 and the quantity was quite high too.
I love kuey teow, seriously. Kuey teow soup, fried kuey teow, curry kuey teow and many others. I was very full ><

We then walked to another mall and did a lil shopping in Giant. Mushroom soup~ =P
Rm5.00 for a can, Rm3.90 for powdered form =P

Last stop was Secret Recipe, which my friend insisted that he had wanted to go for very long. A slice of Marble Cheese, Rm6.50, a free cup of coffee. If you think that it's funny for 5 lonely men to be eating cakes in SR, there was another table with 6 middle-aged men =P. Oh well, I don't care coz the cake was nice. Cheese ftw!

Rm2.00 for a trip back. It was a standing trip =P.

A little jogging after that, followed by a nice cold bath.

Seems like things might go out of hand soon. Kinda filled with a lot of things at once =D

I keep telling myself that it is a good thing that I don't have to worry about having nothing to do, which I still believe is true even now.

You know very well, that sometimes, it doesn't really matter at all.

When you feel really troubled and you feel like running on the street, just do it!
When you feel really happy and you feel like poking someone, just do it!
(I always do this to a lot of people, especially my sis =)

It's good if we think wisely before we act, but if we think for too long over every little thing, life will long be over before we know it.

Relax~ Rest your brain for a second, just do it! =P

流れ星 x Shooting Star

I saw a shooting star yesterday night. It was the first time I saw one =)

Naturally, I didn't make a wish in time.

But it was surely nice ><.

Btw, I wasn't staring at the sky, it just caught my eye. So it was like a glimpse of it. I knew I didn't mistaken it or anything because another person walking in front seemed to react to it as well.

I'm tired =)
But I feel alive~

Temporary vs Temporarily

Just trying to bring this up to someone =)
Many seems to be making mistakes in the usage of these 2 similar but different words.

The former is an adjective, the latter is an adverb.


From Oxford English Dictionary:

temporary: lasting or meant to last for a limited time; not permanent
eg.
-temporary employment 临时工作
-temporary bridge 临时桥


My sentence:
I was temporarily hired to help in building the temporary bridge.
我被暂时性地雇佣来帮助建筑那座临时桥。
